I may not be a fashion-ista but I am truly a fashion-apprecista! This stylish exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Art features Italian couture fashion post WW2 till present day and will be up through January, 4 2015. The event was free and kicked off the show with style! There were drinks, appetizers, vintage Italian fashion for purchase, docent lead tours of the exhibit, a fashion show, a loud horrible garage band, and artist doing fashion sketches!
The event was pretty packed but we got to see everything we wanted to by arriving early. I especially appreciated all the guest who dressed up to celebrate the occasion! I recommend indulging and seeing this exhibit. Be sure to get a mini tour by a docent because they have more in depth information about the exhibit that is worth hearing.
These two are my favorite dresses. Both are from the 50's and to die for.

This dress was worn by Audrey Hepburn and it is amazing to see how different it looks on screen.
This was our fun fashion sketch that was done by Bobby Rogers. I my not be the style icon that Steven Tyler is but I have never looked so fabulous!
