Women I Needed to See Growing Up: Molly Britt

I needed to see a woman like Molly Britt when I was growing up. Molly is a communications and marketing professional with a very impressive resume. She connects with people from around the country – and across the globe, too! Molly and her husband, Jeb, have always been role models for me to live your life by your own rules. They have lived in separate states, travelled the world, and started a family on their own terms. After Molly became a mother, she struggled with her new identity. When she returned to work following maternity leave, also faced a new set of challenges: adapting to life as a full-time working mom. Awhile later, she was diagnosed with postpartum anxiety. “As an extreme extrovert, I never, ever thought this would happen to me – but it did. Of course I loved my amazing son, but I didn’t love this new thing called motherhood. I began opening up about it to family and friends, whom encouraged me to seek help. It wasn’t easy, but I did it – and now I’m feeling like I can conquer the world again! I want women everywhere to know that postpartum anxiety and depression is nothing to be ashamed of. You can beat this.” Today, Molly is living her best life, all while being a rockstar mom the best she knows how. Molly has stayed loyal to her own identity and is an inspiration for finding a balance in life that fits you and not everyone else. I needed to see a woman like Molly Britt when I was growing up. Who did you need to see?
